ABOUT THIS STRUCTURE
General Location Central portion of site.
Specific Location North-central portion of Block 200; within depression created by collapse of Structure 225; exposed by Backhoe Trench 228.
Interpretive Type Shrine.
Structure Use Because this structure is dry-laid, contained no prepared surfaces or features, and was unroofed, the use of the structure is unknown. Members of the Native American Advisory Team interpreted structures like Structure 229 as a shrine.
Dating
Abandonment Structure 229 was abandoned immediately prior to regional abandonment.
Postabandonment Natural sediments accumulated within and above this structure.
