SITE-WIDE DATING
Date Range 1 (A.D. 570–670)
Portulaca Point was primarily occupied during middle Basketmaker III (A.D. 570-670). This date range is supported by three AMS dates from structures, a weak archaeomagnetic date from the pithouse hearth and the majority of pottery collected from the middens. The trace amount of Pueblo II ceramics at the site are attributed to a Pueblo II unit pueblo (the Greenlee Site) 50 m to the west.
Date Range 2 (A.D. –)
