Excavation Unit 1
Location 1-x-1 meter grid unit 1495N 1776E. Southeast quarter of the site. Located in the southwest portion of Nonstructure 101, roughly 18 m southeast of pit structure (Structure 106).
Selection Criteria Random. Second 1-x1-m unit selected for excavation in Nonstructure 101.
Excavation Strategy Natural strata.
Unit Ends at Undisturbed native sediment. Fill continued into Nonstructure 109 Feature 3. Undisturbed native sediment was encountered below Feature 3 at 83.97 m; the prehistoric ground surface was located at approximately 84.10 m.

Selection Criteria Random. This is the ninth 1-x-1-m unit used for investigation into Nonstructure 105.
Excavation Strategy Natural strata.
Unit Ends at Fill continued. Fill continued into Nonstructure 111, upper construction fill likely from Structure 106. This unit was likely placed over the antechamber of Structure 106. An auger was used to assess the depth of the floor, which was at approximately 83.

Location 1-x-3 meter grid unit, long axis oriented north-south 1513.75N 1768E. Central-west portion of the site. This excavation unit was placed over Structure 106.
Selection Criteria Judgmental. This 3-x-1-m unit was used to assess the nature of a geophysical anomaly.
Excavation Strategy Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels. The natural strata were subdivided into 25-cm arbitrary levels.
Unit Ends at Structure floor. Excavation terminated at Surface-1, the primary use-surface of Structure 106. Excavation terminated at approximately 83.38m below datum.

Selection Criteria Random. Fifth 1-x1-m unit selected for excavation in Nonstructure 105. Upon excavation, this unit was assigned a different study unit (Nonstructure 112).

Unit Ends at Undisturbed native sediment. Excavation was terminated at approximately 84.68 m. A 15 cm x 15 cm window was dug into the northwest corner of the unit to confirm sterility; the bottom of this window was at an elevation of 84.59 m.
