General Topographic Description |
The pueblo is situated around a spring at the head of a small tributary to Sand Canyon; this drainage divides the site into east and west areas and cuts through Dakota Formation sandstone. A gently rolling upland rises to the north, east, and west. The site itself wraps around the canyon rim and extends partly down the steep talus slope.
