Jennifer Denetdale (Diné) is professor and chair of American Studies at the University of New Mexico. She is the author of Reclaiming Diné History: The Legacies of Navajo Chief Manuelito and Juanita and two Navajo histories for young adults. She is the first Diné to earn a Ph.D. in History and has published numerous articles and essays.
