Victoria Monagle

Victoria Monagle is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of New Mexico (UNM), and her Zooarchaeological research aims to answer questions about prehistoric human and dog relationships in the Ancestral Puebloan Southwest. Victoria is originally from El Paso, Texas and currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband and two small children. She completed her Master’s degree in Public Archaeology at UNM in 2017 and is currently working on her Ph.D. dissertation research, which explores dog personhood and utility at prehistoric sites along the Rio Grande. Before attending UNM, she worked and volunteered at many Southwestern sites including the Gila Cliff Dwellings, Chiricahua National Monument, Fort Bowie National Historic Site, Coronado National Memorial, and El Camino Real Historic Trail Site.
