Ryan Spittler has been working in the southwest since 2014, where he has run numerous survey crews in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. With a Master’s in Applied Archaeology, Ryan is well versed in field methods, logistics, and technical report writing. He has participated in stabilization, rock art, excavation, and documentation projects while working for Woods Canyon Archaeological Consultants. Ryan has recorded sites ranging from the Paleoindian period to the Historic period, most of which were Ancestral Puebloan in cultural affiliation. Besides enjoying a career in archaeology, Ryan spends his time backpacking, skiing, fishing, or otherwise exploring the public lands of the west.
