Chris Toya

Chris Toya is a member of Jemez Pueblo and an archaeologist who serves as the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer archaeologist for the Jemez community. Chris is actively engaged in traditional knowledge and language preservation programs in his community, has attended cultural workshops at Crow Canyon, and has served as a scholar on previous travel seminars that explored connections between the ancient and modern Pueblo worlds. Chris was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2023.
