Bears Ears Partnership

Kenny Wintch is a Preservation Archaeologist working for Bears Ears Partnership (or BEP, formerly known as Friends of Cedar Mesa). He is BEP’s coordinator for the Lands Between campaign, a broad-based conservation partnership that includes both conservation non-profits like BEP and Indigenous entities like the Pueblo of Acoma. Prior to joining BEP Wintch was a long-time agency archaeologist with the State of Utah. Wintch received his Master’s degree in Anthropology from Brigham Young University and focused his graduate research on the public lands that are now being called the Lands Between.
