This slide show presentation will cover commonly found edible and medicinal plants that are essential for human health and well-being. Identification, uses, and recipes of these plants will be presented through pictures and descriptions. These wild plants can be found on every continent where there are established human communities. Some of these plants are considered weeds, however, greater understanding will reveal how they help remediate soil and regenerate ecosystems while offering critical habitat and forage for pollinators. The presentation will also highlight the non-profit, Turtle Lake Refuge's, work with these plants and how they have helped build community.
